What we do

ds3-global.comWhat we do
what we do

We design and deliver modular, climate-ready shelter and infrastructure systems that support humanitarian responses from emergency use through to longer-term deployment, where appropriate.

Context

Displacement is increasingly prolonged. Many shelter solutions, however, are still designed for short-term use. Across different regions, families are living in temporary shelters for years and, sometimes decades in conditions those solutions were never designed to support. DS3 was developed in response to this operational reality.

Our Core Offer

DS3 provides modular shelter and infrastructure systems designed to be adapted, reused, and maintained over time. Rather than focusing on single-use solutions, our approach supports responses that can evolve as needs change — without requiring complete replacement.

Core areas

Soft-Cover Shelters CommUnity Shelter+

A modular soft-cover shelter system designed as an alternative to traditional tents in contexts where greater durability, adaptability, and privacy are needed.
Used for:
  • family shelters
  • clinics and health posts
  • classrooms and child-friendly spaces
  • safe and community spaces
Designed to support:
  • improved protection from weather and flooding
  • greater privacy and safety
  • longer usable life
  • reduced material waste

Hard-Cover Structures Sentinel+

A modular hard-panel system designed for more durable shelter and infrastructure needs within humanitarian responses.
Used for:
  • health facilities
  • offices and coordination centres
  • learning and training spaces
  • staff accommodation
Designed to support:
  • increased durability and security
  • adaptable internal layouts
  • repeated deployment and reuse
  • reduced reliance on multiple prefab systems

Supporting capabilities

DS3 systems can be adapted and upgraded over time through a range of supporting capabilities, including:
  • insulation and climate control
  • energy and power solutions
  • flooring, drainage, and ground interfaces
  • safety, accessibility, and security features
This allows infrastructure to evolve as conditions change, without requiring full replacement.

What this means in practice

  • fewer systems to procure and manage
  • clearer cost visibility over time
  • greater flexibility as contexts evolve
  • shelter and infrastructure that support dignity, safety, and stability

Confidence for donors. Clarity for partners. Dignity for communities.
