Where We Work

DS3-Global works across emergency shelter, disaster recovery, localisation and modular infrastructure in regions exposed to displacement, climate events and complex humanitarian need. Our work includes completed deployments, active pilots, preparedness planning and long-term localisation pathways. Across each context, our objective is consistent: practical shelter systems that can be deployed quickly, maintained locally and adapted over time.

Built for crisis. Designed for dignity. Powered by purpose.

Bangladesh Field Evidence

DS3-Global has completed three Sentinel+ hard-cover shelter prototype installations in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh, supporting community feedback, local training, design refinement and the next stage of durable shelter asset planning.

Global capability statement

Across each region, DS3-Global brings the same practical capability: modular shelter systems, rapid deployment, local training, recoverable assets, repair pathways, digital reporting and a commitment to localisation.
Our work is designed to support communities before, during and after crisis — from emergency response through to long-term recovery.

Disaster preparedness across more than 7,000 islands
DS3-Global is developing a national emergency management model for the Philippines, combining municipal command centres, regional response support and recoverable CommUnity Shelter stockpiles for monsoons, earthquakes, volcanoes, floods and other natural disasters. Focus: Command centres, emergency stockpiles, soft-cover shelters, Sentinel housing pathways and staged localisation.

Localised production for urgent humanitarian need
DS3-Global and its Jordan-based partner completed the deployment of 87,000 thermo mats for Gaza through UNRWA, with local production in Cairo providing a practical example of regional manufacturing, quality assurance and humanitarian logistics close to the point of need. Focus: Localisation, UN agency supply, thermal protection, regional manufacturing and cross-border humanitarian logistics.

Rapid emergency response after a major earthquake
Following the Türkiye earthquake, DS3-Global responded to an urgent emergency request by mobilising approximately 4,000 emergency-use shelters from its sister factory in India, together with nearly 400 Version 1.0 CommUnity Shelters from available stock. The request was received late one evening in Australia; within three days, the shelters were packed and on their way to port for FOB collection by the relevant agency. Focus: Emergency response, rapid mobilisation, India-based manufacturing support, CommUnity Shelter stock deployment and disaster relief logistics.

Early flood and landslide response using modular shelter systems
DS3-Global’s first deployment in 2010 included a stockpile of 10,000 Version 1 CommUnity Shelters for Brazil, supporting communities affected by floods and landslides with waterproof raised bases and modular connectivity for extended family and community use. Focus: Flood response, landslide recovery, modular shelter, raised waterproof bases and community continuity.

Supporting flood-affected communities to remain close to home
A limited number of Version 1.0 CommUnity Shelters have supported recent major flood responses in New South Wales, helping residents remain close to uninhabitable properties so they could tend to land, livestock and recovery needs without relocating long distances to regional centres. Focus: Domestic disaster recovery, rural resilience, temporary shelter, livestock and land continuity.

Modular shelters adapted for education in remote conditions
DS3-Global CommUnity Shelters have been deployed to remote locations in Pakistan, where units were connected in groups of three to create enlarged spaces for schooling and education. After two years in harsh conditions, they continue to serve their purpose. Focus: Education, remote deployment, modular shelter connection and long-term performance in harsh conditions.

Modular WASH facilities for preparedness and rapid deployment
DS3-Global is preparing pilot WASH facility configurations for Indonesia, including latrines and accompanying fit-outs informed by modular shelter design and the Bangladesh Nobojatra model. The approach supports stockpiling, fast deployment and different site configurations. Focus: WASH, latrines, modular fit-outs, emergency stockpiles and rapid deployment.

Sentinel housing pathways for regional and elevated shelter solutions
Building on field evidence from Bangladesh, DS3-Global is assessing Sentinel modular shelter options for Nepal, including ground-based and elevated regional housing models suited to terrain, climate and community needs. Focus: Sentinel housing, modularity, elevated shelter options, regional resilience and field-informed adaptation.

Confidence for donors. Clarity for partners. Dignity for communities.
